I uad a great time doing this interview!

My mission is massive. And sometimes it scares me to put it out into the universe. But when I break it all down, it becomes easier to see the path forward. And each one of you forms the bricks that form that path. . Because changing the world isn’t a one-person job. It takes each and every one of us. To put our hands up and say we’re here for it. To support one another, so we can build the confidence in ourselves to lead our families and by extension our communities towards ...a better future. . As individuals, we can affect change. By not accepting the status quo. By pushing back when industry and government choose to grandfather toxic chemicals because it’s more profitable for a few shareholders. By demanding health support that goes beyond that’s normal, deal with it. . The only way we can hope to drive this change is to come together. To empower and educate each other. To put our hands up and say enough is enough. Our children deserve better. We deserve better. . Not everyone is going to become an activist or vocal advocate. That’s not what we need. What we need is millions of people making more conscious decisions at home, at the polls, and in stores. . My job is to help you think differently. More strategically. And without wasting your precious time and energy - both of which are in limited supply for all of us. . So while my mission is massive, my approach is simple. Start with the things you can impact every day, that will have the greatest impact on your health. Because healthier homes = healthier families = healthier communities = healthier planet. . If you’re ready to join the movement and become part of the solution by taking action in your home, you’ll be seeing invitations to my membership program soon. It’s going on sale next week so be sure you have post notifications on (tap here @emma_greenathome then the little bell at the top of my profile so you don’t miss out!). See more

Your immune response to both the shot and the v.rus isn’t going to work as well as it could if you aren’t addressing your toxic load. . Whether you’re getting it, aren’t able to, or are choosing not to (and if you head to the comments with judgments on either side, they will be deleted)... you need your immune system to be working well to keep you protected. Either to mount a response to the shot or to keep you healthy on its own. . If you’ve got a high toxic load, your immu...ne system isn’t operating at its best. And some chemicals have been shown to directly impact your immune function - and v @ x efficacy too. . Here are some examples: PFCs: Found in stain repellents and water repellents, but most of our exposure is through food and water. Prenatal exposure has shown to decrease immune responses to . Studies have found exposed children struggle more with various infections, ranging from colds to stomach bugs to ear infections. . BPA: Lab studies suggest it may increase IL-6, a molecule that is linked with increased death from the current virus du jour. . Phthalates: Exposure in children has been shown to increase cytokines, inflammatory proteins that are implicated in complications from the virus. . Dioxins: Scientists observed the production of white blood cells that defend the body against viruses and bacteria was impaired in the offspring and future generations of mice exposed to dioxin. . Over-burdened: Our toxic load is partially responsible for the increase in metabolic diseases, which are linked with increased complications to this virus and a weakened immune system overall. . Remember, just because we have an immune system, doesn’t mean it’s working well. So if you needed another reason to take action on lowering toxins in your life - often ones we don’t think of - here’s a little nudge. Save and share this post - it’s important that everyone understand immune support beyond vitamin C. . . . . . #immunehealth #toxinsmatter #healthyimmunesystem #healthymom #autoimmunewarrior #momlife #environmentalhealth #hormonehealth #kidhealth #reducetoxins #newmommyproblems #kidswithallergies #newmothers #healthychild #autoimmunediseasewarrior #newmumlife #fertilitycoach #mumstobe #prenatalcare #pregnancyhealth #womanshealth See more

If you don't know what environmental racism is, or why it's important, keep reading. I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Ingrid Waldron on episode 16 of The Missing Pillar of Health Podcast, in which she goes into detail on some of her research around social determinants of health and environmental racism. In this conversation, she shared information about Bill C-230, which would be an important step for Canada to address environmental racism. You can join Environmental Defence Canada's call to action in the blog linked in their post below.

Early childhood exposure to obesogens is becoming a problem... These chemicals can disrupt metabolism, increase fat storage and fat cells, change the way we feel full or hungry, and amplify the effects of a high fat/sugar diet. Suspected obesogens include:... - BPA (found in plastics, even those marked BPA-free) - Phthalates (found in plastics, personal care products, shower curtains) - Pesticides (in our food and water) - Flame Retardants (in our food and water, some furniture) - Outdoor Air Pollutants (found in... well, outside air) - PCBs (found in food and water) These hormone disrupting chemicals have been linked with other health issues, from asthma to reproductive issues to behavioural issues - from exposure during pregnancy and early childhood development. And unfortunately, you won’t find most of these listed on ingredient labels. You have to know what to look for, and how to focus your energy so you don’t burn out trying to avoid everything. Because early childhood exposures to toxins in general can have life-long health effects, I want as many parents as possible to feel confident about the changes they can make at home - without feeling overwhelmed. This is why I’m bringing back my free 5-day video training series, How to Create a Healthier Home Without Overwhelm. You’ll learn the why, what, and how of reducing toxins in your home and body AND you’ll get to ask me questions all week long. Register now >> greenathome.info/trainingseries

It’s not actually about the dish soap or the frying pan or the mattress or the [insert the product you’re currently researching here] .... The truth is, reducing symptoms or lowering your family’s risk of developing cancer, hormone imbalance, autoimmune disease, ADHD, allergies, etc takes more than just looking at one-off products in a random way. . And before you stop reading, thinking to yourself well, I can’t just overhaul everything all at once, this is going to have to be good enough - hear me out. . You certainly can continue to swap products one at a time. But without knowing which products to swap, in what order, and what to replace them with you’re wasting your time and money. . And by focusing just on products, you’re missing the actions you can take that are free and easy! . I used to do this too... . I was so focused on just going product by product that I missed the big picture. Now I know that the key to avoiding burnout and wasting money while having a bigger impact on your health is strategy. . If you want to make changes that will have a meaningful impact on your health, society as a whole, and the planet, I’ve got a better way. . Join me for the free 5-day training series: How to Create a Healthier Home without Overwhelm. We get started on Monday and you’re not going to want to miss it! BPA-Free doesn’t mean a product is safe. BPA is a member of a class of chemicals called bisphenols. They’re commonly found in hard plastics (typically polycarbonates, with recycling symbol 7), can linings, and receipt paper. And studies have shown that they migrate out of these products into food, drink, and into our bodies. Even low levels of BPA exposures have been linked with impacts like:... Reduced IVF success. Reduced estrogen production in the ovaries. Early puberty in girls. Altered sperm function and fertility. Our children are most at risk of toxic overload because their reproductive systems are still developing and are susceptible to long-term damage caused by hormone disruptors like BPA. This is why, when research identified that BPA was a hormone disruptor, it was banned specifically from baby bottles and teethers in Canada and infant formula containers in the US (with States having their own various additional bans). As a result, many brands scrambled to remove it from their products in general and proudly declared BPA-Free on their labels. However, it turns out the replacement chemicals aren’t necessarily better. For example, BPS, a common BPA replacement is shown to have hormone disruption properties on par with BPA. To help reduce your exposure to bisphenols, you can switch to glass or stainless steel food containers, avoid canned food where possible, dust your home regularly, and wear gloves if handling receipts for several minutes a day. And if a product you love says BPA-Free, ask them what they use instead. The more we can hold companies accountable, the more we can drive real change. I want to empower you to make informed choices that ultimately support a healthier home and therefore family.
