Janice joined our team in 2005 while doing a work placement for her Vet Assistant Program at Algonquin College. Together with her wonderful husband Don, they have raised 2 children (now grown adults) and have now become servants to their cats Franklin & Norman. Janice, originally from P.E.I, returns annually with Don to enjoy the seafood, explore the many beautiful beaches for seaglass and watch endless amazing sunsets. Her hobbies include playing the guitar, sewing, reading, antique hunting, auctions, live theater, gardening and many quiet gourmet dinners with her husband.

Adi is one of the first smiles that will greet you as you walk through the front doors on a Saturday morning. She is a receptionist at Greenbank Animal Hospital. She became part of our team in 2009. She enjoys the company of her wonderful pets; Rocky Balboa, a Shepherd mix, and her cats Mike Wazowski (pictured) and Tigger (both of whom adopted her more than she adopted them!)

Everyone meet Wally! He’s a bit of a trouble maker - but a darn cute one! His appetite was down so his mom & dad brought him in to see us. After working up the case it was clear he had a large ball of foreign material in his stomach. During surgery we removed a plethora of hair elastics, ribbon pieces, wrappers and even a shirt tag! We’re happy to say that Wally has since recovered wonderfully at home! #catswillbecats #heateallthethings #catsofinstagram #ottawacats #ottawavets

With the restrictions lifting slightly, we will now be able to go back to the system we were using in December with respect to allowing light traffic back into the reception area only in the clinic. This will allow for clients to come into the reception area to pay, as well as pick up medications and food. All appointments will remain curb side, so please continue to arrive at the clinic at your scheduled appointment time and you will receive a phone call from us to get the a...ppointment started. Please see below for a refresher on our door way organization to help with flow and in and out of the clinic, and trying to avoid traffic jams in this area! You will notice there is a light at the top left corner of the door, and the reception team has control over it's colour. When they are ready for another person to come into the clinic they will turn that light green to signal that it's all clear and the next person in line is welcome to come in. If the light remains red, please kindly wait outside and they will be with you as soon as possible! Thank you for bearing with us as we continue to try to adapt and stay efficient as the COVID-19 situation evolves. Stay well!

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Greenbank Animal Hospital! We are closed tomorrow for the holiday but will reopen for our regular hours on Tuesday.

This article rings true for our clinic as well. We love meeting all the new furry family members, but the increase in patients means longer wait times when booking appointments and especially when booking surgeries! Pre-COVID we could easily schedule a surgery within 1-2 weeks, now we’re jam packed in that time, booking over a month out and with dozens awaiting call backs to schedule their pet in for spays and neuters alone. Please be patient with our team. Believe us when w...e say we are working our hardest to get you booked in! https://www.cbc.ca//delay-pet-care-national-shortage-1.589

These days are trying and confusing. Don’t forget to reach out to us for your pets. We’re open and here to help!

With the recent state of emergency update we just wanted to re-assure everyone that we are still open and able to perform routine and medical appointments. We also have not been restricted in the kind of surgery we can currently schedule. Our appointments and picking up food/medications from the clinic is still in curb side format, but we have not been directed to adjust the services we can offer.

Today is the last day of 2020 - that in itself is worth celebrating! We are open from 9 am to 4 pm for appointments, food and medication pick up. Please remember we are doing curb side service during the new government guidelines. Celebrate safely tonight and see you in 2021!

Jennifer grew up bringing her own family pet to Greenbank Animal Hospital way back in 1993! Since then she completed her high school co-op program here in 2002, graduated the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College in 2008 and has been an RVT at the clinic since 2009. Jennifer lives with her wonderful husband Stephen and their two daughters, Jocelyn and Audrey. They are smothered in cuddles and kisses from their 3 cats. Outside of work Jennifer loves cottaging to either her parent's cottage in Kazabazua or at her in-law's on Wolfe Island. She loves travelling, reading, watching movies and playing board games and cards with friends and family. Jen was Fear Free certified in 2019.

She has two snuggly bunnies Thumper and Jack, 2 cats named Theia and George, and her horse Paisley. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, curling, spending time with friends, travelling back home to Newfoundland to see her family, and spending all the time she can with her fur babies. Abigail was Fear Free certified in 2019

Greenbank Animal Hospital 02.10.2020

COVID or regular Halloween we still need to mind our pets! Keep your eye on them if they’re in a costume, if there are more indoor decorations this year or there’re chocolates and candy laying around! Let’s keep the holiday safe for everyone.

Christina joined our team in June 2017 as a co-op student from Algonquin College, and was hired on full-time after receiving her RVT status in August 2017. Christina lives out in the country with her two dogs Layla and Rosie, and two cats Grigio and Opi. She loves to take Layla out on adventures hiking, canoeing, snowshoeing, and anything else that's outdoors. Christina also loves camping, roadtrips, and travelling - she has travelled from B.C to New Brunswick, and awaits the day she can take a trip up to the northern territories. Christina was Fear Free certified in 2019.
