Opportunities are created in search of a solution. Safe to say, when push comes to shove, things just have to get done. Take a look at @terracycle for example. A lot of throw away items are given another chance at life being reused to create new products. "This dilemma created the development of innovative technologies to try and solve the problem of what to do with the plastics that can be recycled but aren’t."... "Fishing Nets Account for 46 Percent of All Ocean Plastic. World Animal Protection reports that 640,000 tons of gear are lost and pollute oceans each year. But this abandoned fishing gear goes well beyond pollution. Ghost nets, for example, are a danger to marine habitats and sea life." What is the solution? It would be hard to enforce laws in unsupervised large bodies of water however starting from the source of producing biodegradable nets would be the best solution in a perfect world.
