As a tour company on Haida Gwaii, we fully support Haida leadership and governance as they work to protect local residents through this global pandemic.

PADDLE GWAII HAANAS WITH GREEN COAST KAYAKING -------------------------------------------------------- Southern Route: August 8 to 15 Southern Route *Starts in Carpenter Bay/Ends in Raspberry Cove* August 15 to 22 Southern Route Route *Starts in Raspberry Cove/Ends in Carpenter Bay*... Maximum 8 guests with 2 certified guides. All participants must be in compliance with current CHN travel restrictions, and remain within the Northern BC Health Region 14 days prior to the trip beginning. -------------------------------------------------------- Price/Person: $1200 Price Includes: -Van/Zodiac transport to and from Gwaii Haanas -Kayaks and paddling equipment (paddle, PFD, skirt, pump and rope) -Group expedition gear (med-kit, communications, tarps, water storage, fire-tools) -Gwaii Haanas Park Fees -Two certified guides Not Included: -Meals (dehydrated dinners can be purchased from Green Coast) -Personal camping equipment (tents, sleeping mat/bags, and dry bags can be rented from Green Coast for the week) -------------------------------------------------------- Route Description: Paddle the waters and camp for 7 nights under the stars in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve, and Haida Heritage Site. Explore the forests and beaches of the coast as well as the Haida Heritage and UNESCO World Heritage Site of SGang Gwaay. To prioritize safety and accessibility guests are asked to bring their own food, camping gear, and cook wear and will be assigned the same kayak throughout the trip. We are hoping to host an Assistant Overnight Guide Training later this summer for LOCALS ONLY. Spend 10 days out on the water! Develop your paddling, expedition, and navigational skills! Become a certified as Assistant Overnight Guide with the Sea Kayaks Alliance! There will be safety measures in place to ensure social distancing throughout the program. Locals Rate is $1500. Half of the program cost should be covered by Gwaii Trust for island residents of two-years and over.... May is one of our favourite times to explore the southernmost areas of #GwaiiHaanas. Abundant wildlife, and few other people. This year, we're going to start and end this trip at the unparalleled Gwaii Haanas Guest House and Kayaks, where we'll enjoy a cozy atmosphere, locally sourced meals and the company of our hosts.

This year, we're combining mindfulness, personal growth and kayaking with the support of Haida Gwaii resident Liz Wouters. Join us on a specialty kayak trip on our Northern Route this June!

Looking forward to offering another Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC - SKGABC Assistant Overnight Kayak Guide course with SKILS - Sea Kayak Instruction and Leadership Systems Ltd. this coming April. This year, we'll be sending the group down to Gwaii Haanas for a more immersive learning experience!
