Hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday! Railings have gone up on the decks at "The Okanagan" and the siding is coming along beautifully! Here is a before and after!
Check out this Before and (almost) After pictures of the garage on "The Okanagan". Rhinestone Masonry Inc spent the weekend putting this gorgeous stone up on the garage. Just blown away by how amazing it looks! All that is left to be done is the grouting.
Some fantastic progress has been made on "The Okanagan" in the last few weeks! The driveway has been poured, the garage slabs been poured, drywall is going up, the siding is coming along and the scratch coat on the garage has been done in preparation for stone.
It was quite a surprise to wake up to snow this morning. Crazy to think that just last week this pictures were taken on such a beautiful fall day! We have been working on a deck build on a gorgeous log home with such a spectacular view! The hand stained timbers blend with the house so well.
Yay, the drywall is going up in the "Okanagan" House at 3181 Okanagan Avenue NE . Gonna be ready for a new family by Christmas!
Evening! Heres another Tidbit Tuesday! Energy efficiency really starts at the foundation. Instead of pouring traditional foundation that uses forms that are removed once the concrete is set we use ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms). ICF are interlocking blocks almost like lego that are stacked and filled with rebar and concrete. Once the concrete is set you will have a solid foundation that is R30 or more and air tight with no thermal bridging. Less heat loss means lower gas bills which makes for happy homeowners.
Good Morning! Its Tidbit Tuesday! Building green is something that is very important to us and to help us do that we use what is called Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) as opposed to traditional framing. SIPs are most commonly made of OSB panels sandwiched around a foam core made of polystyrene. By using these panels we create less construction waste than traditional framing. They are energy efficient and help keep our construction waste low
We are the proud recipients of the Tommie Silver for Excellence in Environmental Initiative in Construction and the Keystone Silver for Home Builder Award of Excellence! https://friam.ca/issues/friday-am_09-06-19.pdf
One of the projects weve had on the go this summer is this spectacular shop. The brilliant white with the blue belly band gives it such a clean look that is so eye appealing!
