Welcome to Greener Pastures SEMPER FORTIS!!!! This extremely handsome gelding is a 12 year old war horse. Racing 168 times he has a total earnings of $95,393. This horse just arrived yesterday afternoon and we can already tell he is an absolute gem. He has that eye, that look and exudes that energy of the kind, gentle giant type. Only an hour after he arrived to a new farm, new people, new horses - he stood like a statue to be groomed by a child. Looking forward to getting to know this guy better, he’s a keeper!!

Happy adoption day Kootenay Madamzena!!! Zena was such a gem to have, amazing temperament and willingness to do anything we asked of her. We really look forward to hearing updates as she makes new friends and establishes a bond with her new human! Happy trails beautiful girl!!

Tahuya Twilight is really starting to come out of her shell and show her kind heart. She is learning to trust, and as you can see from this video she is attentive & careful of her small handler. Ginny and Buck have bonded over being the newest residents at Greener Pastures. These two enjoyed rolling in the snow and then letting the sun hit their back today. They have settled into retirement so beautifully- we love to see them making horse friends and establishing their spot in a herd.

We are happy to see BUCK AND RUN settling in and getting acquainted with the rest of the herd! Buck has so much potential at just 4 years old. We are hoping to get him going under saddle in the coming weeks. We have no doubt this boy is going to want another job after his time spent racing- he wants to be an athlete. He retired with a quarter crack that we are monitoring. With a good set of supportive shoes, it doesn’t seem to bug him off the track. ...
