Greenfields Indoor Air Solutions 11.12.2020

At Greenfields we work hard to provide excellent customer service. As a small business owner, I know I should ask for customer testimonials but I rarely do. Happy customers lead to referrals which are a big part of my business, so when I see an unsolicited public testimonial it is particularly gratifying. Thanks Naftal - Schooley Mitchell of Kentville.

If you heat your home with oil or another non-electric heating source, new rebates are now available to help you enjoy all the good things efficiency brings. Efficiency Nova Scotia will receive $53.5 million in new funding from the Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia over the next four years to help tens of thousands of Nova Scotians make efficiency upgrades and further reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Greenfields Indoor Air Solutions is an Efficiency Nova Scotia Trade Network member. Valuable rebates are available through Efficiency Nova Scotia for energy efficiency upgrades including heat pumps, insulation and much more. Unfortunately, for homeowners, only electrically heated homes were eligible for rebates. That is going to change. A program to extend rebates to non-electrically heated homes was announced late last year. An official announcement, rolling out the program through Efficiency Nova Scotia, is coming next week. I can hardly wait! To learn more contact us at [email protected]

When it's hot and humid outside, keep your home more comfortable. Venmar air-exchangers, (or other brands), are common in Nova Scotia homes. Unfortunately, many homeowners have never been told how they work or how to use them properly. The primary purpose of any air-exchanger is to supply fresh air to your home, but a secondary, and often misunderstood function, is it's capacity to reduce relative humidity. Unfortunately, most air-exchangers cannot reduce indoor relative humi...dty when the outdoor air is hot and humid. When it is, turn your air exchanger off, at least during the hottest part of the day, or at most run it intermittently at low speed. Keep your windows and doors shut too, and close blinds or curtains to keep the hot sun out. Contact me at [email protected] to book an in home inspection of your air-exchanger. I'll review with you how the system works and how best to use it. https://www.theweathernetwork.com//high/W_WWCANS0015/ca/ns
