Green Grove Camp 14.07.2021

From 2018, please enjoy the song most likely recognized as being taught year after year at Green Grove Camp! It never fails, you can't help but join in and sing along no matter your age... This is one of the many things children learn at camp and have been for the last 71 years! We continue to fundraise and appreciate all contributions... every bit counts and helps us in the "renewal of camp". Your generosity is appreciated, and we thank you! You can visit our website to learn how to make your donation today www.greengrovecamp.ca

Green Grove Camp 05.07.2021

The information contained in this post has been gathered from multiple sites on the internet. Pysanky are one of the many crafts children learn at Green Grove Camp, we are proud the children are able to participate and practice this beautiful art of our Ukrainian culture and heritage. We hope you enjoy this post! We share the talent of the art of the pysanky from two of our Green Grove Camp alumni. Daena Diduck was a Green Grove camper in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Da...ena grew up in Martensville and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Daena has been many places showcasing her pysanky, last year she was featured on PBS and was to attend a Pysanka Festival in Ukraine, however due to the pandemic was unable to participate. Anyone who knows Daena knows there is a passion and love in the pysanky she creates. You can check out more of Daena’s art on her Facebook page, Instagram at pysankaprincess, and she can be contacted at [email protected]. Zenia Kotelko was a Green Grove camper in the 1970s, and grew up in the area of Cudworth, Saskatchewan. Zenia has acted in the role of director at camp and in past years continued to participate in teaching activities to the children. Zenia has always loved the art of pysanky and often would be found sitting at a table at home into the wee hours of the night creating her beautiful pysanky. We thank both for allowing us to share these photos with you. If you would like to share your pysanky pictures, please do so in the comments area it would be beautiful to see all the pysanky for everyone to enjoy. Green Grove Camp continues to reach out to its community for support. All contributions are greatly appreciated and add up quickly to help in the "renewal of the camp". You can browse our previous posts to learn how to help; or visit our website for details. We thank you!
