Today was the big day! We made a few changes over the winter. We moved out of the original sugar house in the woods to a building twice the size that is closer to the house and has Hydro! Today we were able to fire up the evaporator for the first time in its new home and things worked great. Now we just need Mother Nature to provide the right temperature swings and we will be making lots of syrup!

We tapped some lines earlier this week, but today we had some eager little helpers who wanted to hang some buckets!
