Just finished an order of deodorant heading to the Island to my wonderful cousin who has got her friends hooked! Over the past several months I have tweeked my recipe with the addition of bentonite clay to absorb wetness and magnesium oil for extra odor protection. Ingredients in Green Lotus skin care products clean the skin of impurities, diminish fine lines, promote healing and diminish the appearance of age spots and scars. The following is some of my favorites and use regularly: Purify Scrub and Mask (once/week) Directions: Dampen face. With a plastic or wood spoon (never... use metal) scoop a pea size amount and apply gently to face. Leave sit for up to 5-10 minutes rinse off. Everyday: Wash face. I recommend using pure Castille soap or a Norwex body cloth. Follow with Rosewater Toner on the face and neck to balance pH, tone, calm redness and soften skin. Finally, apply Purify Face Oil. The high-quality oils of Jojoba, Argan, Castor & Rosehip will reduce wrinkles, clear up acne, reduce redness and scars, reduce pore size, soften skin and protect skin from environmental toxins. Ensure to especially moisturize the under eyes, lips, and neck. The medicinal oils applied to the neck will draw out toxins and support the flow of the lymph system. Natural Deodorant WHY should I switch to natural deodorant? Antiperspirants block the sweat glands not allowing toxins to be removed from this area. They also use many known carcinogenic ingredients. HOW WILL THE TRANSITION BE? Allow for up to a month of a detox period. You may notice that you are perspiring more and you may be more smelly than normal. This will pass. This is your body releasing all the toxins that have built up from the use of antiperspirants. Simply re-apply throughout the day as needed during this transition period. Some people may develop a rash which may be due to the baking soda (I use a minimal amount and have added bentonite clay to replace some of the baking soda required). More often the rash is from the detox period and also will pass. To help detox you may apply the purify scrub and mask or a bentonite clay mask. Simply mix the clay with some water and apply and rinse off after 20 minutes. See more
