Annamie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her leadership role. Did you know she is an alum of the University of Ottawa and Princeton University? The GPC believes post-secondary education should be accessible to everyone. This is why Annamie Paul recently announced that a Green Party government would abolish tuition and cancel federal student debt.
Wow! It’s been two years since Paul Manly was first elected to Parliament as Nanaimo-Ladysmith’s Green MP! Congratulations, Paul, on this exciting anniversary!

The pandemic has made many bad situations worse and led to more frequent and more severe violence against women, girls, femme-identifying and genderqueer folk. Despite the challenges caused by COVID-19 and underfunding, shelters and support services continue to do incredible work. Our deepest thanks to all those on the frontline. If you are in need of help, know that you are not alone.... We are living through a second wave of #COVID19 and record rates of infection. The mixed messages from our different levels of government and lack of cross-jurisdiction cooperation is not working for Canadians and is putting lives at risk. Greens understand that a national emergency requires a coordinated and collaborative national approach. Greens are calling for a national strategy on testing, tracing, clear messaging and vaccination distribution to protect Canadians and gu...ided by federal, provincial, and municipal health officials. #cdnpoli https://www.greenparty.ca/uJh
Today Bill C-3 Passed 3rd Reading. Jenica's Amendment enshrining up front consultation with Indigenous leaders and representatives in curriculum for judges tra...ining on sexual assault is one step closer to becoming law. #Canada See more
As we continue through this pandemic, I find it helpful to remember that we're all in this together. I was joined by some of my colleagues across party lines to... drive home that message. See more
The Green climate plan is a real plan, based on science & immediate action. We are committed to a just transition to a green economythe best way to rebuild economically from COVID-19. The government is not addressing #climatechange as an emergency. They’re not taking advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity we have for a green recovery and to move to a green economy. The new proposed climate legislation is an empty shell: It provides little accountability while putting us out of step with our international partners It compromises our future competitiveness and fails to live up to our international obligations at the same time.... We need climate action now. We need proper accountability. We need climate targets based on science. We need a green recovery to rebuild our economy. Greens have a plan to tackle climate change - Our economic recovery plan calls for a 60% reduction in emissions from 2005 levels by 2030 with clear enforceable targets and timelines, starting in 2025. https://www.greenparty.ca//failure-leadership-government%E
