I'm happy to announce that I will be doing a show in St. John's in May! I'm very excited to present some of my solo electroacoustic work as well as music by my new trio.

I've got to give a huge thanks to everyone who watched, commented, and chatted with me this week as part of my lecture-recital. Not only was presenting my research-creation in this format new to me, I had never mixed or video edited something of this size before. I was over the moon with everyone who joined me for my live chat. I will definitely be doing all this again! I've gotten a lot of positive feedback, but I feel this yet-to-be-named tune was the biggest success. Thank you and enjoy. https://youtu.be/8ZcM0ZKgsZw

I'm done* my first lecture-recital recital at U of T! I've got to start by giving a huge thank you to these wonderful humans: Tyler Novak and Ankit Mastakar. They worked happily and tirelessly throughout the day to capture the audio and video of my crazy research. Because of my unique audio needs, and the resulting space (and therefore, video) requirements, each tune we recorded required required both time and ingenuity. I was totally underestimating the level of detail these... two gents would bring to the table, thinking we wouldn't nearly need all the time I had booked. Even though all my works were solo saxophone, and my lecture was very straight ahead, it took 12 mics, three cameras (plus some smart phones), and the whole 9-hour day to capture my roughly 70 minute presentation. That's a single take of both my 35 min recital and my 35 min lecture, plus some time at the end to do a second take of two tunes. I'm over the moon with how it went and it's all thanks to these cats! *While I'm done the performing part of my lecture recital, the video editing and audio mixing starts this week! I will be setting a date to release my presentation on YouTube, after which I will be doing a live Q + A! Look up gregthesquare on YouTube so you don't miss it. Thanks for the support xo
