Most of us spend the majority of our lives avoiding feelings, in the pursuit of feeling better. Most people go about this the wrong way. We avoid negative feelings, suppress them, and distract ourselves from them.... The problem is that the bandaids we use to temporarily suppress feelings (Alcohol, drugs, sex, food, etc) are only a temporary shaky solution. The long term solution is to do the unthinkable... actually fully accept, welcome and feel the feelings Yes it’s crazy I know, but in order to Feel Better we have to get better at feeling. The feelings are there for a reason, they are trying to tell you something and if you never take the time to listen to, and be there for them, it can cause more problems than you might think. Problems in your relationships, your career, & physical problems like Illness and disease. Allowing yourself to face your fears and fall into the feelings, letting them consume you instead avoiding them is what will help you to finally free yourself of the fear of them. You have all the love, support and understanding you need within you to self soothe. At the end of the day, you need to be there for, love, and fully accept yourself the good and the bad, & the ugly, no part left behind. Avoidance isn’t the answer, face it, feel it, hear what it’s trying to tell you. On your side - Greg
