I attended a (video) funeral this morning. They showed all sorts of pictures of this dear mans life and it got me thinking. Who would come to my funeral and why, that sort of thing. But it also made me think that at least some of those pictures came from friends, and the family probably saw some of them for the first time at a very sad occasion. How nice it would have been for the family, including the deceased, to see them sooner and laugh instead of later and cry. So my p...oint is this - if we have some pictures of friends we know they’d like, I think it would be very thoughtful to take the time to send them (email or text) to them right now so they can enjoy them now with everyone there and not at a sad time like a funeral when a dear one is missing. I know it’s a hassle to scan a bunch of old ones in a photo album but a quick snapshot on your phone of one or two of those oldies but goodies will brighten someone’s day.
