Looking forward to hitting the pavement in the Manchester & Dever Road Area again tonight! Incredible family neighbourhood’s where affordability, recreation and improved city services (e.g. Vehicle Calming on Dever Rd.) continue to be frequent themes. #Bestforwest #westisbest #ward1

If you head to the beach plan to get wet! Mailbox drops in the drizzle, around the Milford, Green Head Rd and Randolph Island area couldn’t be dampened. Always energized after walking your community, talking with residents and learning how we can do things better in our community! #bestforwest #westisbest #Ward1

The Westfield Road is home to very engaged communities (Ketepec, Belmont, Martinon, Morna) where many young families have moved. As the demographics and growth profile continues to change in this rural residential area so does our responsibilities to improve pedestrian safety, road improvements and timeliness of core city services. The conversations this evening can only be compared to the views and landscape of the entire KBM area! Thank you for the many candid conversations that were well informed and well received #westisbest #bestforwest #Ward1

Impressive residential corridors like #Westgate are throughout #Ward1 a couple key priorities to these large residential clusters are safe pedestrian passage (e.g. sidewalks, plowing, X-walks, calming measures) and enforcement of heavy truck traffic to keep to designated truck routes.#Westisbest #Bestforwest

It’s been said before, in local government, it's very clear to your customers - your citizens - whether or not you're delivering. We’re off on another #SJCouncil meeting tonight aimed at delivering. Agenda, minutes and helpful links available here: https://saintjohn.ca//council-/minutes-agendas-and-records

Without question Dominion Park Beach is in a league of its own and is a municipal gem. Investing in recreation destinations like this build a greater Saint John! #RecrereationPriority #DominionPark #PrioritizeParksRecreation

Section of Harding Street West changing to two-way traffic to support new development. The west side will see some new retail locations soon, and the City of Saint John has made some traffic changes to support this development. Motorists are advised that on January 12, 2021, the lower east-west section of Harding Street West that intersects with Fairville Boulevard will become accessible to two-way traffic. Motorists that enter Harding Street West from Fairville Boulevard wou...ld be entering for the purpose of accessing the new development retail locations. Currently, the entire length of Harding Street West is one-way traffic from Main Street West to Fairville Boulevard. The upper north-south section of Harding Street West will remain a one-way street. The green highlighted section of Harding Street West will be changing to two-way traffic. Traffic signs and signals will be in place to advise motorists of this change in permitted access. https://www.saintjohn.ca//section-of-harding-street-west-c

A golden opportunity to invest in our Dominion Park - looking forward to how this is rolled out. Recreation, parks and public spaces must lead our priority spending. If you want to know what is priority then just follow the money, let’s see this money follows the path to public recreation.

One step closer to #ridesharing and one giant leap closer to modernizing our public transportation network.

Greg Norton 11.12.2020

Let’s keep the momentum growing! Increased population and development growth, improved quality of municipal services (e.g. recreation, roads, solid waste, recycling, transportation) and decreased cost of living (e.g. property tax and water & sewerage).
