This Sunday, be sure to not miss the annual High Park Harvest Festival at Colborne Lodge. The south end of High Park, between Colborne Lodge and the High Park Children's Garden, will be alive with fun for everyone. Activities will include pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, a harvest lunch at the Children's Garden, face painting, local honey and preserves, Young Voices Toronto Choir, period dancing on the lawn, MakerKids Activities, the High Park Trackless Train, local park and heritage groups and, of course, roast potatoes and warm apple cider. In High Park tomorrow evening? Discover how the park's founders lived almost two hundred years ago by stepping through the French doors of Colborne Lodge to enjoy the view as John and Jemima Howard once did. The Lodge is open for visits from 4:30-7:30pm; pay what you can. For more details, visit http://bit.ly/1juD7kM #highpark #torontoevents

I don’t feel that this is unfair. That’s the thing about cancer. I’m not the only one, it happens all the time to people. I’m not special. This just intensifies what I did. It gives it more meaning. It’ll inspire more people. I just wish people would realize that anything’s possible if you try; dreams are made possible if you try." The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive event where people get together as individuals, families and groups to raise money for cancer research in Terry's name. It is a day of celebrating Terry's legacy and helping to keep alive his dream of finding a cure for cancer. Register for this Sunday's Terry Fox Run in High Park here: http://bit.ly/2c6Qc5p #WednesdayWisdom #TerryFoxRun
