Meet one of our most hardworking staff members, Abby! She is behind the scenes making the online program run as smoothly as possible. "Hello! My name is Abby Elizabeth Russell, and my position within the ESL community is basically working just under Melissa - Aside from general ESL discussions I also manage hours, as well as assist with tasks somewhat outside the ESL community. Something that I've always loved about working with ESL students is all the amazing stories that I... get to hear - It's really refreshing to learn new perspectives from outside of Canada (especially Newfoundland!), and it really opened my eyes to how vast the world and it's many cultures truly are It's my pleasure to be working with you all (especially during such a difficult time!), and I'm grateful to get to know some of the many amazing students attending our programming "

Meet Emily Seymour, our newest discussion leader with the Grenfell ESL program. "My name is Emily Seymour and I am a fourth year business student at Grenfell. I am both a discussion leader and a tutor for Business 1010 for the ESL program. I love both positions on the program as they allow me to connect, teach and learn from those in it. I went on exchange this year to the UK (where my picture is taken), so I have a unique understanding of what being an international student ...is like. I know it can be difficult and so I want to help in anyway I can. I consider those in my discussion group to have become friends and I am grateful to have gotten to know both of them. I am also grateful to have gotten more presentation skills and professional experience through my tutoring position. My experience with the ESL program has been nothing but positive and I'm very thankful for it."
