Hey there! Here's a bit of a throwbacka rebrand project that I worked on two years ago for My Cake Girl. I am a BIG fan of her cake. I highly recommend reaching out to Brandy and inquiring about her cake in a bucket if you're ever having a hankering for sweets. It won't disappoint! ... Back to the logo design A business owner almost always has a vision of what they want their logo to communicate when they approach me to design (or redesign) their logo. I loved working with My Cake Girl and making her vision come true! The logo was to possess similar purples from the original and have a ‘50s/old-school candy shop feel. Branding is important and making sure that your logo design is on point with the rest of your business's communication is HUGE!

I had the grand opportunity of taking on the creative for Saskatchewan Association of Recreation Professionals (SARP)'s conferencecoined the "I'm All Ears Speaker Series" that was supported by Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. This campaign required a few different formats as it was going to be distributed through various forms of media. ... The goal? To get registrants. To get LOTS of registrants and subtly promote the Annual General Meeting that was taking place in the same location later that day. So, how do you get peoples' attention when there is a ton of content everywhere you go? I would say that dogs are a good start. Then, I would suggest adding a loud pop of colour for the backgroundsuch as yellow. After that, a bold font that ties both the content and imagery together that is coined something "catchy" to wrap everything up should prepare you nicely for intentional pattern disruption. Hiccups along the way? Fitting the much needed and necessary content into a small space without overcrowding the page and losing sight of the intended message. See more
