Yesterday morning Grey County paramedics responded to a call of a man struggling in the water in the Owen Sound Harbour. Upon arrival, a good Samaritan in a small boat was helping the man but was unable to lift him to safety. Grey County Paramedic Supervisor Joe Draper was able to maneuver down to the water, swing onto the boat and help lift the struggling man to safety. The patient was transported to hospital for medical treatment. Grey County is thankful to everyone involved in the call, especially the quick acting boater and the bystander who called 9-1-1.
