More amazing news for the women refugees... Friends, what a month of blessing and provisions. As you may know, we are in process of constructing the training centre for widows and the vulnerable women in Uganda in the Refugee camp. We have now received enough donations to complete one part of the building . Thank you to everyone who donated and a special thank you to Family Life Psychology in Spruce Grove and Stony plain for your generous donation, which will enable us to co...mplete a significant part of the building and ladies can start training . Friends, this is big deal for these women and their children. One of our own directors of GRHU said "A regulated Mom is a regulated child." This is big a deal for them as most of them are left with many children and no experience or education, since most ladies are not given the opportunity to go to school. To complete the other part of the building, our goal is $2600 and any amount of donation will be appreciated Remember, all directors of GRHU are volunteers, meaning 100% of your donation goes directly to our refugees and projects to help them. Hi everyone!!! We have some good news that we are so excited to share... In our last meeting with our board of directors, we officially changed the name of one of our programs. We have been calling some of our children in the home in Uganda orphans, but they are no longer orphans because they have all of us supporting them in their daily life. The home is called Give Hope Children’s Home. No more labelling them orphans. We want to take this opportunity to thank eac...h and every one of you who have supported the children’s home, the True Love of Jesus International Ministries in Texas, and other individuals for their continued support. Because of those donations, the children have been eating well , going to see the doctor when needed, and we have been able to pay rent for 2 units where the children stay. Most importantly, these children are safe . Let me remind you that some of these children come into our home not only physically broken, but emotionally heartbroken due to some of them being witness to their parents murders. Now their lives have been changed. If God can change their life through people like you, you can also transform your life into something positive despite the obstacles or problems you are facing. We want to take this opportunity to wish you a happy Thanksgiving with your families and loved ones. We want to thank each of you who supported us and the work we do in Uganda. We cant even put into words how thankful we are to have you as friend and donors and how thankful we are for the love you have continued to demostrate this year. Let’s count the blessings of you and your support : ... 1. We received enough donations for the medical centre to be constructed this year from the foundation to the roofing, we are hoping to finish it next year and open it for the refugees who need it 2. 14 orphan children are happily and safely living in a home and are looked after very well. They have enough food, clothing, and other daily needs. They are taken care of by two moms, Alain and Grace plus two staff, Fidele and Prince to help them grow. 3. 10 dedicated people driven by love from different walks of life, stepped up to volunteer to be on board of directors. These individuals make all the decisions about the operation of the organization. That’s why we can proudly say we are an organization where 100% of donations and charity go towards projects. 4. Successful and memorable mission trip was done this year 5. Land was purchased and construction of Widow Training Centre is in the works 6. 6 more children have been sponsored, which means more children getting a better education and food at school 7. Above all, more loving connections with ministries, individuals and rotary clubs around the global to support these refugees were made. Without your love and donations, we couldn’t have achieved all of this success in this short year. We believe those projects will be achieved because of your love . We would like to provide you an update on the construction of the widow training centre! We continue to thank the Rotary Club of Fort Gratiot and Doctor Rajad on behalf of the refugees; they have donated towards the construction of the Widow Program Training Centre in the Kyaka II settlement. This will be the new permanent centre where the widows will be able to access training for the hairstylist and sewing programs. Today is day two of construction. Our 14 Children are no longer orphans. We want to take this moment to thank our mothers Alain and Grace, who look after 14 children in the Giving Hope Orphanage. These children are no longer orphans because they have all of us supporting them and both Alain and Grace who have done an amazing job looking after them. All of our children in the home are living well due to the combination of effort from different people from different places who have one thing in common, love. ...Despite Covid-19 and other issues, these children have continued to get food, shelter and clothing. If you want to bless Grace and Alain, these funds will be given to them as a thank you gift for taking care of our children.
