This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Remembrance Poppy in Canada. To celebrate that anniversary, we are introducing a community project. Once completed, the project will be displayed at the library for this Remembrance Day, and many to follow. It involves squares of fabric, and the skillful talents of our on-staff quilters... What a lovely evening that was! Thank you to the many many MANY people that came by Santa's Drive-Thru tonight. (We actually did lose track of how many wavers, and singers and HO HO HO-ers we saw - there was definitely only ONE dinosaur though )

A reminder that our library has over 1400 DVDs in our collection, including television series, documentaries and kids movies. Might be good to have some on hand for when the internet can't meet the demand...
