Although January was the month dedicated to mental health awareness -- taking care of one's mind is always in style. That reminds me of the genuine truth Petite & Bold founder Josiane Konaté shared not too long ago: "On those not so good days, I take a break to focus on my well-being; worry less about what’s happening on social media, pray for guidance [...]". Hear that? Sounds familiar, right? She's making sure to add #FLOW to her grind. To that I can only say, Amen!... Petite & Bold

Has your gut ever steered you wrong? (Okay, forget about that time when there was all you can eat chicken wings at the pub on hockey night!) Seriously, though -- trust your gut! Lean in when something feels right, and cut it loose when it doesn't.

Like in any healthy relationship, in order to love someone, you must love yourself first. Entrepreneurs often put themselves last -- I challenge you to do the opposite. The more you take care of your heart, the more you will be open to give the best of yourself to the world! . . George Mavitzis Photography

People say that you can't have light without darkness, or good without bad. Well, I believe you can't have growth without failure -- or as I like to call it --lessons. With humility, allow those lessons to teach you so that you can improve and grow into the best version of yourself and your business.

Today is ThrowbackThursday and for this week's #TBT I'm going to highlight my favorite moment from the past 4 AMAZING weeks of special #THURSDAYCONFESSION Facebook Live videos. .....DRUMROLL..... HINT: It's in video No. 3 from January 24th (3 Reasons Why It’s Good to Change Your Audience).... You'll never guess! The moment I enjoyed the most was when Marjorie's adorable little niece walked onto the scene and straight into our hearts! You're probably wondering why I picked this moment. Seriously. What does it have to do with business?? Actually -- quite a bit. You see, while I was watching the video, my first reaction was actually annoyance and frustration. It was just a split-second feeling, but let me tell you, it was visceral. However, the graceful way Marjorie just rolled with it taught me a very important lesson. Both in life and in business, you'll regularly be faced with surprises and you've just got to roll with 'em! Instead of throwing a fit and getting upset because something didn't go your way -- take a beat. Inhale... Exhale... And in that breath, you'll probably come to realize that it's not actually a big deal. In fact, you may just learn from that surprise and become all the better for it. So let me take this opportunity to thank you, Marjorie, for accidentally imparting this lesson to me! And shout-out to your little niece -- she is absolutely ADORABLE!!
