The L-Sit Shoulder Press. A great movement to teach good core stability & control. During the shoulder press it is common to see people have no core bracing & have a big arch in the low back. Mainly they have little to no stability or strength in the core & also may be lifting to heavy of a weight which causes compensation.... The L- Sit teaches you to maintain a neutral & braced core while lifting weight over head. Steph shows great control & strength over head while maintaining a braced core

Nothing like doing split squats at the same weight you were doing regular squats with 3 months ago. Natalie mic dropped this morning when she grabbed the 25's off the rack to put on the bar. 3 sets x 3-5 reps at 98lbs. ... SHOUT OUT! One of the first things Shannon told me when we first met was "I hate squats"... "When I squat my knees hurt" On that day I made a some tweaks in technique & we have never looked back! She would dread the day when I would give her a 20lb dumbbell for goblet squats. Fast forward to now & we have been working with the safety bar for the last 4 weeks which weighs 48lbs & she squats with zero pain & actually feels really good while doing them. That strength is growing!! She started with me only coming 2x a week. Since coming back from our covid break she insisted on coming 3x a week because she couldn't stand only coming twice. She has built a small addiction to the gym & I love it!
