The government has finally given pet groomers the okay to open back up through an amendment to O.Reg 82/20 Rules for Areas in Stage 1, which will take effect today (Thursday, February 4). The amendment clarifies that pet grooming businesses may only open to provide the above noted services if: 1. Are strictly necessary to prevent an animal from requiring foreseeable and reasonably imminent veterinary care.... 2. Are providing services that an animal owner has been required to obtain pursuant to an order issued under the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act, 2019. 3. They provide the services by appointment ONLY. 4. They permit only ONE appointment for ONE animal at a time. 5. They are provided through curbside pickup and drop-off of the animal. At this time our shop is not fully set up to operate with curb side pickup and drop off. We will be spending the next few days sanitizing and preparing to open back up! We will have an official opening date soon. Thank you all for being so patient with us! We can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Well, it looks like it’s official. Pet groomers have been removed from the list permitting us to stay open. As of December 26th we’ll be shut down until further notice. If your dog requires immediate attention call your veterinary clinic. We will begin a wait list for when we are able to reopen. Stay Safe and Have a Merry Christmas!

My long-time groomer moved out of the area earlier this year and I was looking for someone who could handle my dog who is older and can be a bit grouchy. I foun...d GroomingTailz through a Facebook post and I am so glad that I did! The ladies here were so accommodating, kind, and gentle with both of my dogs. I was very happy with both of their cuts as well - both dogs look great! The staff were also particularly patient with my grouchy guy (I know it must have taken incredible patience to get him looking as good as he does!). Thanks so much, ladies!
