It is important to trim your pets nails. Take a look at the diagram for how to clip them. Make sure you get nail clippers that are the right size for your pet if you have a large dog you’ll need large nail clippers if you have a small dog you’ll need small nail clippers. Do NOT get guillotine nail clippers they can be hard to use and can really hurt your pet if you cut the quick to far back. Make sure you have some Styptic powder just incase you cut the quick. When you cut th...e quick it bleeds. Accidentally clipping the quick happens don’t feel too bad if you do. The Styptic powder will help stop the bleeding. Put a little bit on your finger and put it on the nail end of the nail that is bleeding and hold your finger there for a a couple of seconds. Sometimes you’ll need to use more Styptic powder to stop the bleeding and that’s ok. I hope this helps and hopefully groomers will be able to open again soon! See more

Covid-19 cases are steadily increasing in Ontario. Because of the increase in cases Grooms with Laura will not be accepting new clients. I am a home based business and am an immune compromised person. If you are sick and have an appointment scheduled have someone else drop of your pet or we can reschedule the appointment once you are well. Please help everyone by wearing a mask, washing your hands and limit your time in public areas. Once Covid-19 cases decrease I will be accepting new clients again.
