After taking a little social media hiatus, we are back and ready and excited to share what we have been up to the past month But first, . . . The Costelo Family and the Groovy Goat team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the outpouring of support from our community following our devastating barn fire in February. The compassion and generosity we received from family, friends, customers, fellow business owners near and far and our community a...s a whole has been overwhelming. The kind offers to help were genuine and creative, ranging from messages of encouragement, to monetary donations, to offers to help rebuild the barn and sponsor our farm animals. We are truly humbled and grateful. In a grim time, your support gave us the strength to persevere and sparked hope that we can and will rebuild and create a bright future. With the rebuild on the horizon, we will keep our beloved community updated as we prepare for the future of the Groovy Goat Farm. We look forward to welcoming you all back soon. It is with heavy, yet grateful, hearts that we write this post. As many of you know, we lost our beloved goats and horses and our new barn in a devastating fire that shook us to our cores yesterday morning. Fortunately, there was not any damage to our house or our retail shop, which are also located on the property. As heartbroken as our family and staff are, we are also grateful and overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from the community and beyond. It is so emotional..., yet heartwarming, to scroll social media and see the many photos posted of families and kids having fun on the farm. Knowing that our business and animals have positively impacted so many families is an indescribable feeling. We know that we are not grieving our losses alone. We have received countless encouraging messages, donations and offers from friends, family, community members, customers and fellow small business owners from near and far. We wanted to let you know that we are seeing all of your support and we are so appreciative. As hard as this tragedy has been to process, knowing that we have such a large support system has given us the strength to pick ourselves up and keep planning for the future. While those plans are not set in stone yet, we can let you know that because of all of your support we can and will rebuild, hopefully in the very near future. We will be sure to keep everyone updated with our progress. We look forward to restoring our property to a place where both locals and travellers can gather and experience the joy of farming, while at the same time respectfully paying tribute to what we have lost. For those who have been inquiring, we are able to continue making products and they will be available on our website as per usual. If you have an order placed already, we will do our best to fulfill it as soon as possible. We are so very grateful The Costelo Family and the Groovy Goat Team

Some details for tonight: -it is open-house style, so drop by any time between 6 and 7:30 (we’d prefer if people were staggered!) -if the parking lot is full, you can find additional parking at the church or the periwinkle cafe. -cash donations will be accepted for the NOS food bank.... -even though it’s an outside event, kindly wear your masks and practice social distancing -your first stop will be at the green tent where you can pick up a hot chocolate and receive directions! -the route will be wheelchair accessible. If you require assistance, please let one of our volunteers know and we will be happy to help. -take your time and enjoy all the sights and sounds in the barn, however, please be mindful of the groups behind you waiting to get in (our Shepards will help to guide you through the barn) -pictures permitted and encouraged! -Remember, shhhhh ... don’t wake baby Jesus -we will attempt to do a live stream of the event on our Groovy Goat page for those who would like to watch, but aren’t able to make it.
