Did you know? When a heat pump is operating in the heating mode, the outdoor coil acts as an evaporator, attracting heat, humidity and can form frost on your coil... A heat pump unit will defrost regularly when frost conditions occur. The defrost cycle should be long enough to melt the ice, and short enough to be energy-efficient. Defrost cycles can be numerous and can last 5-15 minutes. This is normal operation.

We have instructed all employees to stay home if they are feeling unwell or if anyone in their immediate family/household is displaying any sign of sickness. All of our employees have chosen to remain in Canada for this 2020 March Break and we have asked that in the foreseeable future any employee that travels outside Canada self isolate for 14 days upon their return to Canada. Keep your heat pump and the space around it clear of debris, such as leaves, branches, ice, and snow, if your unit does not have clear AIR FLOW, it is forced to work harder to provide the desired amount of heating.
