Meet Michael Robins, a graduate of Red River Colleges culinary arts program, Mike Robins is one of the minds in the kitchen behind two of Winnipeg's best resta...urants in Sydneys at the Forks and the speakeasy concept Sous Sol Osborne. Mike will be competing with the current sous chef of Syndney's Kurt Kolbe. Mike and Kurt Will do battle in the first round VS Rj Urbano and Aleck Amurao of Crème DeL'Essence in the quarterfinals Sept 24. For those of you that do not know, Kitchen Kumite is a fundraiser for Cancercare Manitoba. Everything from the website development, graphic design to the chefs and ingredients is all volunteer work. Together we will be creating something awesome and at the same time for a good cause. YOU can have a chance to win a seat and be a judge for one of the battles! Each round of battles we will be raffling off a seat to sit with the 3 judges and TASTE and JUDGE the food. To enter you need a ticket to the event and we will do a draw before the battle for one lucky winner per round.
