This was one of my favourite nights at GroundZero. Brings tears to my eyes to watch it again. Rick Scott was trying to just be an audience member at Joe Mock’s show, but luckily for all of us he took to the stage and suddenly Pied Pear was on our stage. A magical night...

Here is a messsge from David Essig (who performed at Knox Church last Saturday night). In this message Mr. Essig describes in good detail what it is like to attend a concert at Knox during these trying times: the concert was staged very carefully and in full compliance with the current BC pandemic protocols. The sanctuary at the chuch is quite a large space, normally seating over 200 - there are no pews, but movable chairs. The presenters cleared the room of all but 40 chai...rs and spaced them in pairs at 12-ft intervals around the room. Everyone, except Gerry and I when we were performing, had to wear masks throughout the concert. It was somewhat awkward to be sure, but the audience was so enthusiastic ; their generous hearts more than compensated for any strangeness. Here in BC right now, the max. for an indoor gathering is 50; our gig was capped at 40 tkts per performance, with the other 10 places for the performers, staff and volunteers. We did 2 75-minute concerts with an hour break in between, during which time the presenter sprayed down the entire venue with disinfectants. Refreshments were BYO, so impact on the facility was minimal. Gerry and I were both very gratified by the careful arrangements and felt safe and comfortable throughtout the evening. Please consider coming out for a show at Knox. We are forging ahead with more shows - the musicians need our help and support! We are ensuring that this is a completely safe environment for you to find out to. Attending a live show at Knox will improve your mental health without jeopardizing your physical health! One of the last performances that ever happened at GroundZero Acoustic Lounge back in March - the incredible Lester Quitzau and Damian Graham. Feels like a lifetime ago... GroundZero was like a meteor that shone so bright then was gone in a flash... The memories will remain forever though

With the current distancing requirements in place it is simply not viable for us to have shows there anymore, and there is no end in sight to these restrictions.
