Our neighbouring town is celebrating the maple harvest... check it out! The local syrup is incredible!

It will be quite a while before you can clean up your yard... in fact, you will be annoyed at how long you have to wait... But please wait ... 10 degrees is the night and day temps... so you will have to wait...

First syrup is quite a red colour... the next batch was more of our usual blonde colour...

Dang! My syrup boiled over! Lost 1.5 cups out of 4 cups. What a waste! We don't get a big harvest, so this is very disappointing... (the photo is AFTER the clean up...)

Get out to enjoy rural parks; It's decent picnic weather! and I'm not sure if there are fire pits at this park to enjoy... whatever you do PLEASE be careful how you drive your quad or other snow machines... this park is volunteer managed and doing spin outs makes a mess for others to clean up...

Use a duvet cover, then put comforter in the sun or snow for cleaning (in limited circumstances, you can put the completely dry comforter into a dryer if you need to sanitize; but wool naturally is antimicrobial) ... but do not let the fibers in your comforter get wet before 'agitating them' such as in a dryer.
