Civida (formerly known as Capital Region Housing) is a social good brand with a mission to provide safe and affordable housing. They've made a positive impact in Edmonton for over 50 years, so it was a match made in heaven for the g[squared] team to jump on this #rebrand. By combining the Latin word "civitas", meaning community, and the Spanish word "vidas", meaning life, our goal was to create a new name that matched the life and hope they breathe into #YEG communities. The colourful logo, vibrant website and engaging messaging was a fun creative project that our team is very thankful to have been a part of. Once again, our #design team has left us in awe of their latest creation for the Early Learning Academies of Tennessee. The circular #logo speaks directly to their holistic and nurturing mission of early education. With vibrant and energizing colours, the tree represents growth, each branch a new level of progression, which prepares each child to take flight on their own education journey. The Early Learning Academies of Tennessee provides a fun, youthful environment where children can learn foundational abilities that will equip them for kindergarten and beyond. We loved working on the rebrand for non-profit organization GRIT, who offers support to children with developmental disabilities so they can experience success. With the tagline "Learn without limits" in mind, the g[squared] team built a meaningful logo that represents their mission, as well as an engaging website the creates a sense of diversity, confidence, and hope. Today we celebrate our master and Manager of Digital Marketing, Logan! For one year, he's been effectively leading our clients' paid and organic strategies with his exceptional skills in social media, pay-per-click, data analysis, SEO, and more. We also love him for his green life choices, community involvement as a volunteer volleyball coach, and sharing the latest memes with the team!

Colton is our talented graphic designer with a passion for illustration and custom lettering, some of which can be found in the background of the image below! Outside of the office, he's an avid cyclist that can endure long 100km+ tours on his road bike just as well as he can impress with tricks on his BMX. He's also our resident home cook that always has an interesting and delicious recipe to share. We're grateful to have you on the g[squared] team, Colton!

We're throwing it back this Thursday to a project we did for Daam Galvanizing in 2015. Our designers created a dynamic new logo, using a bold orange a colour associated with workplace safety to differentiate DAAM from the competition and present it as a forward-thinking company. In advertising and marketing materials, we used headlines that played on how ‘DAAM’ sounds to make the message more engaging and memorable.

This past summer we had an opportunity to help a normally very social Edmonton community get people together while adhering to physical distancing guidelines with the Crestock project. Every other Saturday during the summer featured a local musician to perform in the open space where residents distanced themselves and pitched in to pay each performer. The concert series was a hit with great attendance at each show, and brought together the community in a time when they needed it most.

Meet Curtis Graham, our enterprising web developer! Curtis is a man of many talents, bridging the creative and analytical realms through a dynamic skill set that’s been decades in the making. Having started out as a graphic designer in 2005, he has dedicated the past five years of his career to perfecting his craft in sass, CSS and HTML. Curtis contributed to our agency’s success during his previous 3-year tenure as an Art Director and Creative Director. A dedicated dad and husband, he unwinds by spending time with his family, playing board games, writing music and watching Star Wars. He also loves getting outdoors for some fun and fresh air with his kids.
