Conservation Sudbury is seeking local volunteers to participate in our Community Rain Gauge Program What you would need to do: -Install a rain gauge on your property provided free of charge -Submit daily rainfall values (as often as possible) using the convenient app or online Why is this important? What are the data used for?... -To relate rainfall to water levels in surrounding rivers and lakes -To better anticipate watershed dynamics -To improve floodplain mapping and enhance the predictive power of watershed models in different parts of the city If you are interested in helping us collect valuable environmental data in the variability of rainfall in the Sudbury area, please contact Jaimée Bergeron at [email protected]
