GTA Kindness Mission

Affirmation Cards: We want to give our donors a chance to let the people receiving the Care Packages to write them a special individualized note. I think this is a very unique and more personalized idea to let the people experiencing homeless this winter really know that theres people out there in their community who care. We also want them to know that the people who donated the money did it out of the kindess of their hearts and spared the little money they had to help them.... So we will be contacting everyone who donated to send us a message they would like to tell somebody who will be receiving the packages. The pictures in this post are examples of how the affirmation card will look like and how you would like to initial your name. We hope to have recived all messages from the donors by next Friday December 6th, 2019. Thank you to everyone who donated because without your help we wouldnt have been able to make the packages.

Here is the new list and a receipt for proof of purchase. Once again thank you to everyone who helped us out in this journey. We will update you once the items have been received, as we would love for some of you guys that donated to help us package the items and hand them out!

I want to start of by saying sorry! I am so busy with school,work, and personal life responsibilities I completely forgot you all are apart of this amazing project. You all deserve to know what's going on after all your help with everything. This would not have been possible without your support. I spent the last of october arguing with @gofundme and @wepay to allow me to withdrawl the money so I can start making orders. I was going back and forth constantly trying to prove ...my identity so I can recive the money. This was a major issue because it set our plans way behind schedule. We only rasied $549, so unfortunately we had to do some major cuts in the care packages removing a bunch of items. Sadly we wont be able to put as many socks into the care packages as we liked, but we did get good quailty thermal socks that should do a good job. Secondly because we created and sourced all our items in the summer all the prices changes. This means we had to research all the items AGAIN, making sure their the lowest cost possible, while still providing decent quailty products. Lastly shipping was a huge cost (over $200 to be exact) so that was another major road block we had to try to overcome. Luckily we found an amazing vendor called @dollardays a company that helps non profit organizations and charity's. We were able to get connected with an account manager to help us budget everything for the packages. He was a huge help and I really appreciated the time he spent with me to order everytbing (took about 3 days). Everything has been ordered and is now on the way to CANADA to be packed and handed out. To my understanding it should take around 10-15 business days to arrive through FedEx, other than that we shall sit and wait.
