The eligibility criteria for the CERB is relatively simple. You must: reside in Canada (be at least 15 years old) and have a Canadian SIN number; have stopp...ed working because of COVID-19 and have not voluntarily quit their job; had income of at least $5,000 in 2019 or in the 12 months prior to the date of their application; AND are or expect to be without employment or self-employment income for at least 14 consecutive days in the initial four-week period. The CERB will provide a flat weekly amount of $500, paid in four week instalments for up to 16 weeks. This Benefit is available from March 15th, 2020 until October 3, 2020.
