INTRODUCING THE GUELPH EMERGING ARTIST MENTORSHIP PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS! You can see more work by these emerging artists and musicians, as well as the work from the rest of the participants at @boardinghousegallery in their show, Lonely Together, November 17-28! Today’s features include emerging musician and visual artists, Tiffany Ratsizafy, James Cooper, and Daytona Hack Tiffany Ratsizafy, or Aosiva, writes introspective and impulsive music. Like the mysteries, excitement..., and wonders that arise from a typical trip into your brain, the sound that arises from Aosiva’s writing process is often slow, mellow, and hypnotic - in a foamy, colourful, and cloudy way. @aosiva hyperurl.co/o5yfwr James Cooper is a new filmmaker with a passion for lighting design, cinematography, and everything video production related. James has focussed recent efforts on a short film exploring the inner tension gay people can face when juggling accepting personal happiness and acknowledging queer ancestral trauma. @c0ntentcat www.c0ntentcat.ca Daytona Hack is a photographer, drawer, painter, and bullet journaler. Art is Daytona’s passion and they don’t know where they’d be without it. Their goals include renting a studio and showing their work to the public. @brenna_art777 #emergingartists #guelphwellington #rbcemergingartist #GEAMP #featuredartists #visualart #artistsofguelph #emergingmusicians #musiciansofguelph #guelphmusic

We are super excited to share another video from our series featuring the Guelph Dance 2020/2021 Artists In Residence. This is the second in the series featuri...ng Kween Kay. In this video Kween reflects on many things... one that really stands out is: ...the residency thus far has been a journey. How can you inspire stories? Where does that raw genuine piece come from? And how do you continue that into your dance life? But also our regular life? ...that genuine spirit, that’s healing that’s growing, that is willing to be wrong and willing to be better... we can do that. We hope you appreciate as much as we do, the gift of taking a peak into Kween’s journey and those of the other residents as well.
