Changing the world... doesn’t begin outside of ourselves, it begins within our most intimate relationships- including the one with our selves. Just shifting the way we live our own lives in relationship to others can be incredibly profound. Activism doesn’t have to be seen by the rest of the world in order to be valid. Your value, your worth as a person and as an activist is not determined by numbers or clout. Take care of your people. Your relationships. Do things for your friends. Cry with someone. Laugh with someone. Learn from mistakes together. Commit to doing better. Hold space for their imperfect process and humanity. Share a meal. Whatever it is, your relationships are activism too.
