We wish you the very best this holiday season. We know it is going to be a lot different than other years, but hope that you can enjoy one another reflecting on the new year ahead. As you have likely heard, Guelph will be in lockdown along with the rest of the province starting on Boxing Day. The GGHA had planned a break during this time period, but now all arenas will be closed until at least January 23rd. The actual return date and level of play will depend upon regulations... from the City of Guelph and University arenas as well as Covid-19 restrictions at that time. Keep checking your inbox, ggha.com and our GGHA social media accounts for updates. All the best this holiday season, GGHA Board of Directors #happyholidays #guelph #GuelphGirlsHockey #GGHA

This will be the last weekend of hockey for a lot of our players for 2020. Be safe and have fun #SaturdaysAreForHockey A special thank you to our Coaches, Trainers, Managers, Staff, Parents and Players for your support and adherence to the return-to-play and Covid-19 regulations. We appreciate the positive feedback we receive and have enjoyed watching our girls push past these obstacles, supporting one another while having fun on the ice. #smiles #GuelphGirlsHockey #GGHA We’re looking forward to 2021 and hopeful we will be on the ice in January at some capacity. #Enjoy this weekend girls! #girlshockey #guelph #womenshockey #womenshockeycanada #OWHA

The Provincial Minister of Health Christine Elliott made the announcement today that Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will move into the "red zone" of the province's COVID-19 framework as of 12:01 a.m. Monday. As we move into Level Red, our previous plans to continue playing at a reduced capacity has been changed, the City of Guelph will be closing all city arenas effective Monday December 14, 2020. ... What does this mean? House League Teams Unfortunately, this will mean that our house league teams will be suspending play effective Monday, December 14, 2020, as all of the ice time for these teams are scheduled on the City ice. We hope to restart the season in the new year by January 11th, 2021 at the earliest but will continue to communicate these details closer to that time. Rep Teams Unfortunately, this will mean that all City of Guelph ice times will be cancelled, effective Monday, December 14, 2020. TheU of G will still be operatingand current ice times at the U of G will still be open. We will be running these sessions at reduced capacity. Your coach will send out more detailed instructions directly to you in the coming days ahead. Planned Break Our planned break is still continuing, commencing Dec 23rdto Jan 11th, 2021 at the earliest. We appreciate what all of the parents and players have accomplished this year, not only by following a modified structure of hockey but adhering to safety protocols to keep our girls as safe as they could. We will continue to provide updates through email, website and social media. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to our DM
