Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Should anyone desire, there's still time to drop off canned and dried goods for our drive to fill the pantry at the Drop-In Centre. Donations will be collected across from the elevator on the first floor until Friday the 21st at 11am. Many thanks to everyone for their generosity and participation this year!

In support of #MentalHealthWeek, we are so excited to see the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health's new campaign #MentalHealthisHealth . There are still so many that suffer in silence and with stigma. Let's remember that 1 in 2 Canadian adults will be affected or know someone who is over the course of their lifetime. Mental health affects children, youth, adults and the elderly indiscriminately. For those who cannot find their voices, let's join together and let them know we support them.

January 31st marks Bell's Let's Talk Day to raise awareness about Canada's mental health. 1 in 5 Canadians will personally experience a mental health related illness during their lifetime and all of us know someone intimately, whether it be a friend or family member, who have suffered. As a society, we all need to be more mindful that mental health, like diabetes, is not something one can "snap out of" or cure with "positive thoughts". What we can do is reduce the stigma that still surrounds mental health by supporting the resiliency and perseverance of those affected with our time and support. Whether you are holding a hand or the one in need of a hand to hold, let us bring our shared stories out into the open where we can shed light on the darkness of mental illness. #bellletstalk

I believe patients benefit when access to healthcare is centrally located, provides free parking, car share services and offers easy access to public transport.

I believe access to healthcare services is better when free parking, car share and easy access to transport is available for patients, and I support Surrey Street Medical Center's application to have medical imaging back at 21 Surrey Street West.
