Attention Plant Lovers/Plant Parents!

The Guelph Horticultural Society is pleased to announce that we are having our first Zoom meeting on Tuesday, October 27th. Our meeting will start at 7:00 p.m and our guest speaker will start at 7:30. If you have renewed your membership for 2020, you will receive an invitation to the meeting via email. The first 100 people will be admitted. You don't need a camera and microphone if you just want to watch and listen. Our speaker, Martin Ford of Urban Cottage Landscapes, will ...speak on The Benefits of a Pocket Woodland Design. Martin Ford is a third-generation horticulturist who grew up in Wales and New Zealand. Martin has a wide range of horticultural experience in Canada, Britain, Greece, Brazil, and Costa Rica. He is a former University of Guelph instructor and co-founder of Urban Cottage Landscapes in Guelph. His diverse experience in the industry, including working as an arborist in Britain, a landscape architect in Kitchener’s planning department, and an academic instructor at the university led him to develop the Pocket Woodlands design concept. His ideas on landscape design perplex the most educated professionals. His designs are based on the human or individual’s background and perspective together with the needs of plants and soils.
