Guelph and Queens MSAs are collaborating to bring you a mental health panel discussion with some fun stress busters via zoom this Friday! Join us to wind down from your busy semester, play some games & hear our wonderful panelists, Imam Yasin Dwyer, Dr.Mustafa Ryed Eid, & Mohsan Attique discuss some of the unique concerns Muslims living in the West face regarding mental health, what we as Muslims do to optimise our energy and maintain a positive and growth mindset, and lastly... what Islam’s view on issues relating to mental health is. Salam Everyone! Our first initiative for charity week this year is selling and delivering care packages. Each package includes a custom designed t shirt, a portable prayer mat, and other goodies. One care package requires a MINIMUM $15 donation. 100% of proceeds go to Islamic relief for orphans and children around the world. Here are different ways we can get closer to Allah this Dhul Hijjah

As the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah have approached upon us, lets take our time and remember Allah by making dhikr and giving sadaqah. The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are better than any other days of the year and we should take the time to pray to Allah and make the most of them. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days (Al-Bukhari), referring to the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.

Assalam Alaykum all, Last week, Guelph MSA held a virtual activism panel titled Muslims Against Black Oppression. This panel stands in support of Black people against oppression and offers Islamic solutions for this matter. In support of the black community globally, we must raise our voices against all forms and acts of injustice and racism. It is our duty to educate ourselves and become a part of such valuable movements. We'd like to extend our thanks to our speakers Dr Abdalla Idris, Sh.
