So proud to have guys like this on our team here at Guenther Trucking Inc. Everyone here has been working HARD to keep the economy going, to keep store shelves stocked, miss time away from loved ones while providing for their own families. I love hearing/seeing the amazing work our guys do.... Below is a Facebook post I copied from one of our drivers. Please read it for yourself: Today as I was going into a truckstop to get some vitals, I was approached by a man asking if I operated a reefer trailer. When I confirmed that I did he asked me if I might have some idea why his reefer wouldn't stay running. He seemed very concerned and at his wits end, telling me he had been trying to get a hold of Thermo king to solve his issue but having no success. To be honest I was trying to figure out how to politely extricate myself from his request for help. When he asked if I wouldn't mind having a look at his reefer I just couldn't turn him down. Now let's just say my mechanical abilities leave me with no room to brag (rudimentary at best), but it seemed to me he might be having a fuel supply issue. After unsuccessfully priming the fuel pump twice, I asked him if he didn't have an air line to connect to his glad hand to air up his tires? Probably thinking what does that have to do with anything, he skeptically replied that he did. I proceeded to take the tire inflation valve off and having connected the other end to his glad hand I told him to open his trailer supply valve. At the same time I held the open end of the hose into his reefer fuel tank sealing it the best I could with my gloved hand, forcing air into his fuel tank. This is where it gets good! I told him to try starting it again and BAM she fired right up and stayed running! Now I forgot to mention he was hauling a frozen load and his box temperature was getting pretty close to thawing! Let me tell you the satisfaction I got seeing the smile and laugh of relief from that man was a blessing! And to quote him "I think God sent you in here today" how humbling, I almost walked away from that! Today I was reminded real blessings come in helping others, even when you think you might not be up to the task!
