That’s neat. The man now voicing Bugs Bunny went to Cardinal Newman.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed and entered the Photo Scavenger Hunt at Guild Park earlier this autumn. We selected the winners by random draw from all the entri...es that successfully discovered the five features hidden around the 36-hectare (88-acre) public park, where art meets nature. Here’s the list of our winners with a photo from their submission. Grand Prize Winner, receiving two art prints of the old Guild Inn: Shelley Pogue - her image of the Swan in the Garden Second Prize Winners, receiving copies of the History of the Guild Inn book: Olga Vasina - her image of the sculpted Skunk Lisa Finlay her image of Guild Park’s forest Irene Manahan her image of the sculpted wolves Ann Tessaro - her image of the bell from Scarborough’s Victoria Park School Third Prize Winner, receiving a set of vintage Guild Inn postcards: Lisa Norris - her image of the "cement" tree The Guild Park Photo Scavenger Hunt was organized by Friends of Guild Park as the finale to this year’s TD-Park People Grant Program. This national initiative was launched to encourage all types of people to visit, enjoy and appreciate city parks across Canada. Friends of Guild Park was one of the volunteer groups selected to participate and help welcome visitors to this unique park in Scarborough. Covid-19 restrictions prevented holding large group events at Guild Park in 2020. As an alternative, Friends of Guild Park produced a series of virtual tours to bring Guild Park’s features on-line. The Photo Scavenger Hunt was another way individuals, families and small groups could discover different parts of the site. In total, more than 5,500 people participated in this year's program at Guild Park - by either viewing the on-line tours or taking pictures for the scavenger hunt.
Guild Park’s Building 191 - Guildwood Villlage’s own Area 51 - is soon to become the Clark Centre for the Arts. What an incredible transformation.
Right outside of Guildwood and an important video message for our councillor Paul Ainslie and the TTC.
Happy Halloween Guildwood
