Client wants his Explorer painted like Matthias Jabs's guitar from the Scorpions.

My Client wanted me to strip down the body of this strat and only have a wood finish. Also setup anything else it needed. Client was happy with the job. Check detail comments on each photo.

25 years ago, my uncle J.P. gave me a Rockman, which is a device you wear on your belt and plug your guitar into and a set of headphones and rock out from there. Designed by Tom Sholtz of the band Boston, this little thing really captured the Boston sound. It stopped working a few years later. Fast forward, remembered it was still in a box in my basement, I found it. The battery door was lost... the face plate was lost and the adapter was gone. Project... make it work li...ke it did in 1984 when it came out. Knowing more than I knew then, I fixed some bad solder joints and rigged up a battery bank (from an old RC receiver...tore that sucker up) and built the guts into a new case. Yay ! it all works again ! Here's some pics of the guts I started with and the end product. (original Rockman front half of the case is glued to the new case. :-) ) Pics may not be in order.
