Merry Christmas and a Happy new year from GLSI to our little hockey community. We appreciate everyone’s patience through these tough times. We are hoping for a better year in 2021. We have lots of things we want to bring to the SW this spring as well as finish off our platinum star skates. I promise We will get your kids there 17 hours of ice time it may not be in the time we thought but we will get it done. Thanks to gull lake rink board for allowing us to do what we do. Thanks to Gay Dubeau and platinum for being so flexible with scheduling. We have some new things coming this spring. Stay tuned to our website as well as our Facebook group.
Good afternoon. Just a quick update We are really happy with everything so far. Everyone has been doing our part to stay safe very limited spectators and kids are compliant with the rules set in place. Our numbers are still increasing with Covid and it’s starting to show it’s face in our small communities around the area. Please be mindful about your health and exposure. If you have been in contact with a positive case or feel I’ll please miss a week and self monitor. We don’...t want to be the one to ruin it for the rest. We secured ice for the first Monday in March to make up for the week we canceled due to weather. We want to continue to run as long as possible as like everyone we are taking it day by day week to week. We have heard nothing but positive feed back and hope to get a full season in. Thanks everyone for your support. We have a great little hockey community in the SW See more
Good afternoon everyone after our announcements today it’s clear we will not be skating till at least January 4th. It’s with great regret I’m postponing our skates through The rest of December. We will try and make them up when we can. If by the middle of March we were unable to do all 17 skates as promised we will do a refund of some of the money. Once we go through the costs. Sorry folks hands are tied. Have a happy holidays and stay safe .
Well the announcement came out today I’m sure most have heard and read it by now. We are limited to numbers that just can’t be used by us at this time. So we will shut down platinum star skates for the following weeks November 30th as well as December 8th and 15th. I have added December 21st and 28th ice times as well March 8th to the calendars to make up for the three week ban. I know this isn’t ideal for anyone at this time. We are all trying to do our best everyone I’m sur...e is frustrated. Let’s take these three weeks and get our numbers down and hopefully not have to do this again. All the best stay healthy stay active and let’s move forward with hopes for a better 2021. Please share copy and paste to people who may not follow Facebook I will have this announcement also on my website gulllakespringice.com later this evening. Thank you See more
Good day everyone. Platinum star resumes tonight after a missed week due to our storm. As we all know there is a rise in Covid cases in sask and it’s creeping it’s way into our SW zone. Please be diligent in answering the questions when you come in masks are to be worn at all times. Kids must wear masks as they dress and are able to take them off when they have helmets on and are ready to go on the ice. Please remember your pods and dress with that pod. Girls may dress in the designated girls room. If you have been in contact or think you have been in contact with a case please take the week off and self monitor. Let’s not let one week ruin 14 more weeks. Thanks everyone. Please share and get this message out.
Platinum star has chosen to stay home as the highways are still closed we will add a Monday on to the end of our yearly schedule and make it up to you guys. Thanks for understanding I’m currently ar work with this weather please share and let friends know. Thanks.
Hope everyone made it through the storm last night. #1 is being plow’d and platinum star is still going to make there way out tonight. So we are still a go for tonight. If something changes I’ll post it here.
