Today marks the last of the Al Fresco performances this summer! We filled these beautiful public spaces with art in progress from over 25 artists, musicians, carvers and poets. It's been extremely rewarding to provide space for locals and visitors alike to enjoy art safely and also to create opportunities for our music and arts community to share their craft. Many thanks to District of Tofino, Tofino Arts Council, Pacific Rim Arts Society for making this project possible, and to all of our artists for filling our town with memorable experiences in times when we need art the most. But we're still not done yet! Keep an eye out for our video concert series featuring local musicians shot in iconic locations in Clayoquot Sound, there's still plenty of artistic endeavors coming your way!

COVID-19 PRESS RELEASE from Chief Moses Martin of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation: "COVID-19 reopening conditional upon adequate funding for precautionary commun...ity services." Chief Moses asks businesses in the region to enroll in the Tribal Parks Allies Certification program to enable the Guardians to continue protecting vulnerable people in their communities - including language and traditional knowledge holders who are predominantly elderly and immune-compromised - from COVID-19. "Tofino has returned to near peak pre-COVID summer occupancy levels [...] As larger numbers of visitors growing increasingly complacent about physical distancing measures come to enjoy our Tribal Parks, the need for adequately funded community services are more important than ever."
