Earlier today (2021-04-01), between 09:00 hours and 10:40 hours, a team from Suddie Public Hospital conducted COVID-19 tests at the Anna Regina Police Station on the Essequibo Coast where thirty-seven (37) ranks were tested for Covid. Results will be given in the next two (2) days.

The youths were reminded to wear their face masks and sanitize their hands when in public places. All covid 19 protocols were adhered to.

*Police in Division 4 ‘C’ distribute hundreds of kites to youth groups on the East Coast* Police Commander for Regional Division 4 ‘C’, Senior Superintendent Kh...ali Pareshram said ranks from his division yesterday (Saturday April 3rd, 2021) engage and interacted with youths in specific communities on the East Coast of Demerara during separate kite distribution exercises. He noted that between 10:30hrs and 13.00hrs yesterday, Sergeant 17858 Comacho of Beterverwagting Police Station, Sergeant 20350 Fraser of Cove and John Police Station along with Woman Sergeant 15572 Gravesande, Woman Lance Corporal 18818 Stewart-Arthur and Woman Constable Hoyte from the Community Relations Office, distributed three hundred (300) kites to members of various Youth Groups across Regional Division 4 'C'. *Anns Grove/Clonbrook* In one such exercise, Woman Sergeant 21885 Chapman and Woman Constable 22431 Carrington met with members of the Anns Grove United Police Youth Group where kites were distributed. The youth group members were reminded to wear their face masks and sanitized their hands when in public places. *Enmore* Ranks from the Enmore Police Station distributed kites to children in the Enmore and surrounding communities. All Covid-19 protocols and safety precautions were adhered to during all of the kite distribution exercises. See more

KITE DISTRIBUTION AT MATTHEWS RIDGE Ranks of the Mathews Ridge Police Station, North West District on Sunday, April 4, 2021, distributed kites to youths of Stat...ion Street Mathews Ridge. Sergeant English who is stationed at the Mathews Ridge Station and who spearheaded the initiative, encouraged kite flying in open spaces and further highlighted the importance of the wearing of masks when in public. The youths expressed excitement while the Commander and his ranks extended wishes to the residents of Region #1 for a safe and happy Easter.

*Police in Port Kaituma distribute kites to youth group in that NWD area* Police Commander for Region One, Superintendent Khalid Mandall has indicated that ear...lier this afternoon (Saturday 03rd April, 2021 between 15:30 hrs and 16:30 hrs), Sergeant 18694 John and ranks from the Port Kaituma Police Station in the North West District, distributed kites to the Port Kaituma Police Station Youth Group at the Oronoque Ball Field. Police Sergeant John, during the handing over of the kites, urged the youth group members to fly their kites either on the Ball Field or in other open areas away from the road and electrical wires. They were also told to wear their face mask at all times. Parents and children were also told to maintain social distance and to sanitise and wash their hands frequently as they adhere to the Covid-19 precautions and guidelines. According to Commander Mandall, the children were very excited and happy to receive the kites from the Policemen.

Community Outreach On 2021-02-08 Deputy Commissioner Operations Clifton Hicken, Commander Regional Division 4 A, Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram, Second... in Command Superintendent Guy Nurse, Officer in-charge of Crime Assistant Superintendent Chabbinauth Singh, Patrol Officer Assistant Superintendent Michael Cory , Officer incharged of # 2 Sub-Division Assistant Superintendent Maindranauth and other ranks visited the community of Albouystown where they interacted with Residents including Youths and informed them of the Police posture for Policing and creating partnerships in the Community. Concerns raised by Residents were addressed by the visiting team, Residents were sensitized on the Covid-19 Restrictions, face masks were also distributed during the visit. In partnering with the Youths, it was decided that a Football Competition will be held on 2021/02/22 among the Youth Teams in the Community.
