With mixed feelings, Guy Dentistry announces the retirement of Guylaine Girard starting January 6th, 2021. On one hand, we are happy for her and congratulate our dear friend on her well-deserved retirement. At the same time, we are heavy hearted as Guylaine will be greatly missed. She has been an integral member of our team for 17 years. The heart of the office, she has been a caring, reliable and dedicated member, providing calm and order to our front desk. She met challe...nges with a smile and handled difficult situations with grace and a positive attitude. We are grateful for all you have done for us, Guylaine and we will treasure your legacy of humour, kindness and professionalism. She is loved by all our patients. She greeted patients with a warm smile and served them with respect and fairness. I cannot count how many times I was told by people how lucky I was to have her in my office. Knowing Guylaine for more than two decades, she is a part of our family and it will be difficult to not see her as often. We have been there with her through life's ups and downs and will treasure those memories as we move forward. We are very happy that she will now have time to enjoy her home and family, travel, pursue her many hobbies and most importantly dedicate more time to her four beautiful grandchildren. To our valued clients, We hope that everyone is healthy and happy and looking forward to easing back into their regular routine over the coming weeks and months. Despite what has been reported on the news, most procedures are not considered "essential" and Ontario dentists are not yet able to provide them to patients.... Our primary focus is to ensure that we are able to provide treatment in a safe and comfortable environment for you, your family and our team of dental providers. As such, the following practices will be implemented: 1. Scheduled appointments will be reduced to 50%-75% of full capacity as to maintain social distancing. 2. Limiting the number of accompanying family members in the clinic if they are not being seen 3. The removal of all magazines and toys from our waiting area 4. Access to hand sanitizer and please wear a mask to our office. 5. An antibacterial mouth rinse at the start of your appointment 6. Continued telephone pre-screening and in-person screening (includes completing a COVID-19 consent form) prior to your appointment. 7. You will see our providers wearing additional personal protective equipment to stay safe and help keep others safe.
