GVN Structures was awarded the contract to build the Operations and Maintenance Building, Oil Storage Building, along with the entire O&M compound for Capital Power. The O&M building will be the hub for all monitoring and management of Capital Power's new 300 MW Whitla Wind Farm, comprised of 58 turbines. Construction started in late October 2018, and the site was effectively turned over to Capital Power at the beginning of May 2019. We would like to thank the following companies for their dedication and workmanship in helping bring this project to a close on time, and in producing a great finished Project. P.H. McNally & Associates, Western Foundations, Art's Excavating, Diamond Link Fencing, Gas City Drywall, Design Flooring, Kruse Glass, Unity Electric, CK Plumbing, Red Deer Overdoor, and Extreme Concrete.

So today happens to be International Women’s Day 2019, and we figured while we are celebrating all the fantastic women of the world, why not go one step further and celebrate one of our own. This wonderful woman is not only an asset to our team, she is also an inspiration as a hard-working woman in the trades. She works just as hard as our guys (who are just as fantastic) and is always cheerful and a joy to have around. Thank you for being the wonderful woman that you are, from all of us at GVN!!!
