The hated tomato hornworm. The beloved hummingbird/sphinx moth. One and the same. I only found two this year so I put them in a safe place in a box and fed them... all the trimmings from the tomato plants until they were ready to pupate and needed to go into the ground to do so. #naturelover #tomatohornworm www.SeedsofIMBOLC.ca Want to read more? https://extension.colostate.edu//hornworms-and-hummingbir/

BAD call from this wimpy, meek municipality. Way overdue to get educated and stop accommodating complaints from ignorant residents & promoting grass lawn monocultures. "The municipality told the couple that a neighbour complained the yard which is filled with milkweed, thistles, purple asters, Queen Anne's lace and other flowers that attract pollinators lowered neighbouring property values. "'We feel this is much more beautiful than our neighbours' scorched, mowed, brown lawn right now.'"
