Huge thanks to local supermarket CarniWors at Kapani Enterprises for donating fruit for the animals in our care at the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre! The fruit makes... a nice addition to their usual diet and - as you can see by this clip of Lock enjoying a tasty snack - is very much appreciated by our baboons #wildlife #malawiwildliferescue #baboon #lilongwewildlifecentre #donation #support Kapani

Exciting news from our monitoring team in Liwonde National Park as new lion cubs are identified in the Chinguni Pride! Our team has been working hard to confirm... successful breeding in this pride after witnessing multiple mating events. Tracking lions in the green season, however, isn’t easy, especially as females give birth in secluded areas with dense cover to keep their cubs hidden from predators. After a lot of patience, track identification and camera trapping, we were lucky enough to get a quick sighting! Soon, these three little ones will be introduced to the rest of the pride where they will begin to form lasting bonds and learn vital life skills. In 2018 African Parks reintroduced lions to Liwonde National Park four years after the last lion was recorded in the area. This is now one of the few remaining lion populations in Malawi. Our partnership with Liwonde National Park provides park management with ecologically sound data to inform management strategies for lions and other threatened species. Burkina Faso - a trafficker arrested with 30 crocodile skins, cross border trafficking through Ghana. Good work of Josias with the RALF team and the authorities.
